Can any of you mommas tell me the going rate per hour of babysitting? I've never had to hire a babysitter before and will be needing one for a few hours on Saterdays.

Thank you :)

Depends on your location. I would say at least $10 per hour.

I'm in Southern California, my son is four years of age. I would like babysitter I take my son to a soccer game, I'm sure that changes the rate, right? Or just give her some money for gas?

Idk the going rate, but it's a whole lot more than the $5 I paid back when I used them.

Thank you all for your replys, we arranged $10-$12 dlls an hour. Our area is kind of expensive so I guess that's why I never got a sitter before lol

I'm in WI and our minimum wage is $7.25 but babysitters make between $8-10 an hour.

$3 an hour. I made that 30 years ago. I wouldn't babysit for less than $8 an hour. $3 is not worth my time

I'm in Wi too and I don't pay that much for babysitting. Last time I had a babysitter, 3 years ago, I paid $4 an hr.
