I used Turbo Tax and just did my own taxes.

All of the free online tax programs are easy and wall you through step by step. Some you might even be able to find one where you can file your state return for free. I've used freetaxusa.com for the last 3 years with no issues.

H and E block is way to expensive. I go to a regular CPA and pay $100 for mine. If you am do them yourself, why not do it that way?

H & R block's help is not very well trained and most are just seasonal help. Me and my ex filed together and used a CPA but if you are just claiming a kid, dont own a business or rental properties and more of a cut and dry tax return, then Turbo Tax is popular.

I use a CPA but I itemize and can include his prep fees as an itemization for next year.

Same here and they're backed by the IRS.
