Custody help! So overwelmed

Ok so I will do my best about getting all the details in here lol...

Bio dad has not seen Ry in 9 months sence we moved 5 hours away, he does not call or even check to see how she is. I have not filed for custody mainly due to the fact of being scared and not wanting to admit the truth. Well now that I am in a better place and moving out of state I want to get the whole custody thing worked out

Bio dad is an alcoholic, thats why we left town because after we split over a year ago he still would harass me.

Should I allow unsupervised visits even though he has had no contact? should I request only supervised?

I am overwelmed and wish I could get a lawyer but cant at the moment

If he is a alcohic, I would go for supervised visitation.....

Just in case he gets behind the wheel with your baby...Just my opinion

If he has done it before, then I would definately get supervised visitation.....He would never forgive himself, or you wouldnt, if something bad happened...

He will thank you later....

Do you guys already have a custody agreement through the courts? If not, then I wouldn't worry about it. If he's not interested in having custody of her, and you guys have no previous arrangments let alone not being married, he has no rights to her unless he takes you to court.

But usually alcoholics dont have money to hire a lawyer. I think your safe to do whatever you want.
