Do you have life insurance?

I never had it until I got it through my job a couple of years ago, and it always scared me to think what if something happened to me, but I never could "afford" to get it.

Do you have life insurance?  If not, what is keeping you from getting it?

Yes, I have $150,000 on myself AND....i bought a policy on my ex husband as well for $130,000.  It all goes to me if he dies.  He was on board with it.  He has 7 children and only a $25,000 policy through his job, split with all the kids....thats not much.

I have $150k already set-up for my daughter.  If anything were to happen to me she only has me to financially help her out.  Her deadbeat father could care less if she lives in a shack (like him) or has food on the table.

I didn't have it until I had a baby. I need something to take care of him if something should happen to me. He wouldn't be able to get enough SS to help support him.

It was rather depressing when I was talking to my insurance person about it but I knew it was something that I needed to do.  Especially when talking about the one for my son.
