I've reconnected with my 7 th grade boyfriend. We're both 40/41 and recently divorced. He's nice. A great dad to his tween daughter and has a really good job. He's actually good looking but a good 2 inches shorter than me. Im 5 foot 8 he is 5 foot 6. We've hung out a few times as friends and he went out with me my sis and friends last night for my birthday. I find myself not attracted to him solely because of his height. If he was a few inches taller I would go out with him. I've always liked taller guys and I don't think I've ever dated a shorter guy. This is a deal breaker for me. Am I being stupid?

Meh-I probably wouldn't go for him but if we became friends & it turned into a relationship then yes. But I'm 5'3" on a good day...so he'd have to be pretty dang short! Lol

I honestly don't think it's stupid...people have their preferences. It's just a matter of if it would bother her...

Id say no....but that's only because I'm 5'4"...so he'd have to be pretty short.

But you being 5'8"...I wouldn't know what to think! I'd give him a chance!

I would give him a chance too. It's not his fault he is short.

Just be friends for a while and if, in time, things work out and the attraction's there, go for it.  That little quirk may just be the one thing you'll end up missing.

no..not unless it like 2 or 3 feet difference..a few inches don't matter.

Relationships go deeper than preferences. She said that she would date him except for that one reason. Sorry but no one is going to meet every single "check mark" on the list.

No. And like the others said, I'm only 5'3, and that's only if you round. If I were your height, I'd try it out. If felt ncomfortable, I'd make up an excuse and say we should just be friends.
