I am in Ca and I am relocating to Las Vegas within the next month because cost of living is cheap.I have heard mixed things about it there.I know about the crime(which is the same in Ca),I know about the heat and about the unemployment being bad there(like everywhere else) but is it really that bad?Does anybody live there or have you lived there?Can anybody tell me how it REALLY is to live there?Ive been there only to visit on the strip.

It's not the most ideal place to raise children since there really isn't much for them to do.
My SIL is f rom there and she said she turned to drugs when she was about 12/13 cause it's SO boring there and her parents were ALWAYS working. Long story short, before leaving there at 19, she had 3 kids... One died two she gave away.
There is nothing there for kids but gangs, heartache and drugs.

Go here: http://www.bestplaces.net/col/ and enter in what you make now and what you can make there, you will see you are wasting your time and money it will cost to move.
