DD´s father sent her a birthday present... the first one in 13 years. He sent her a tablet. He even loaded some books on it... the sort of book my DD likes, to boot! AND it arrived only 1 day after her birthday! So, I´m amazed. (Neither DDs father nor I live in the US, he bought the tablet on Amazon and had it delivered to HIS country and then sent it on to MINE, so that means he actually remembered DD´s birthday in advance enough to time both international deliveries!)...

That was very nice of him to do for his daughter. Happy birthday to her!

I wonder why he's decided to man-up after 13 years and be a father?  Great for your daughter!  I hope he keeps this up!

Oh, I don´t question it, and I did thank him for it. I do hope it lasts, it would be great for DD to have a relationship with her dad, even at this stage. She´s enjoying the present. I think it wouldn´t have mattered what he sent, whe wuld have been happy anyway
