Child Support Question

My ex and I are at a stand still in our divorce process. There is no temporary/permanent custody order nor is there a court date to figure that out. So I contacted child support recovery center for my state. I filled out a packet they had sent to me then turned it in. That was two weeks ago and I have yet to hear anything. I called the office today but the guy I talked to gave me the usual answer of "I should hear something soon." Does anyone have experience with this?

What did you hear when they finally contacted you?

They are so overwhelmed and understaffed it probably will easily take a few months.

Typically in an easy, in-state case 4-6 weeks minimum after they receive your initial papers. Anything more complicated than that, minimum 2-3 months.

I don't but here's a bump for you.  Good luck!
