I haven't yet files for divorce but I am planning to. My soon to be ex is a fireman. He has made it clear that if we divorce he will want 50/50 custody. I have zero intention in keeping our daughter from him but his 24 hour on and 3 day of schedule makes it tough to figure out what the heck to do without bouncing our 8 month old back and forth every two days. I have been the primary care giver and work for myself from home. Any ideas on some sort of a schedule? To give u an idea he works Monday, Friday one week (24 hours at a clip) and then Tuesday, Sarurday the next week, Wed, Sun the next and so on. I also do not want to be a yoyo

Before the separation how was he able to spend time with the family?

Has he moved too far from where you live?

Yes on his days off. I'm the one moving and it will be about 30 min away

On his days off arrange a set time to meet half way.

So he will get her 5 days a week?!

You and him can both work out something for the 5 days but she would not have to be there all day. Maybe just during the time you would be doing your work at home job.

some people do 50/50 with a 2/2/5/5. that might work.

i think being flexible doesnt make you a yoyo. it means you are coparenting.

faerie75 has a great suggestion. And like she said it makes you a coparent not a yoyo.
