I am not sure if this is available in every state. If you are receiving food stamps, check with your caseworker.

Here in Northern Virginia a grant has been received to support the expansion of the food stamp program at the local farmers markets.

Customers using their SNAP card who spend $10 on fruits and veggies will receive $10 in tokens to purchase more (fruits and veggies) at the market.

I think that's great. They encourage food stamps here at the farmers market.

We have that. Not all farmers markets do it but it is awesome.

Hopefully the clients in our area will use this. Last weekend noone with food stamps showed up at the farmers market. It 's still early in the season so hopefully they will come.

Where I live you can use both SNAP and WIC at the farmer's market and have been able to do so for over 11 years, at least that as long as I've known you can. (As old as my daughter and during a time when I once received benefits.) I don't know about the $10 match.
