My son was invited to go to the beach with family he gets social secuirty benefits is it ok to help with half the hotel/ food with his money or should I not let him go? OR should I let him and go and them pay the other party back I have no clue how this works

 I am not sure why getting socail security benefits would effect going to the beach or not..

You child will have fun, if you trust these family members.. why not let him go enjoy himself.

 yes. they dont ask for proof they just ask every few years whether the money was spent on him. adn saving it up just makes them think he doesnt need it and they decrease the benefit.

Did they ask you to help with the hotel/food? Either way...yes you can use his ss benefits to help out. They don't ask for an itemized list of what you spent the money on or anything like that. They do send something asking how much you saved (if any) and if all of it was spent on him.

The money is meant to be used on him. Paying for a hotel and food count as the money being spent on him.
