I am limited to where I can go, mobility issues and if I do get out, one day out equals at least four days in bed. I have found on my down days that I talk back to the tv. I live alone, me and my service dog, who keeps me safe. I talk to him, but he does not talk back. I have several different medical issues that are to complicated to explain here.
I live alone as well...I share my place with my fur kids. I am also limited as to mobility due to dependence on oxygen 24/7, whenever I do go out it has to be planned so I can take along enough portable tanks. I try to avoid watching too much television because I don't like a lot of it, especially sitcoms...yucky. When I talk back it's usually during the airing of The Apprentice. I have found myself talking back to the Today show of late and to Hoda and Kathy Lee...Both shows have really dropped in their intelligence and that makes me sad.
I hooked up my hulky bulky tv so I can record the Presidential debates. I will go over them with a fine tooth comb. I also have a bag of foam 'bricks' that I toss that the TV, too.
I DID have an extended warranty, although putting your head through a TV is a first, but they will be replacing my flat screen TV with two smaller units, since this model is no longer made. I will be getting two 32 inch Samsung TV's, one for the living room and one for the study. I am using my ds's 1989 tv, that the picture is so blurry I can only listen to it, not watch it. I put a towel over the screen.
I live alone also. I was screaming at the T.V. on CNN today. I don't talk lol......I scream
