I was recently browsing in my local library and came across a great book that teaches about the different periods and ages of Earth. It starts with the big bang and follows through with how life started and how different species formed. I think this book is amazing and I leanred things I didn't know. Like mammels lived while dinasaurs roamed! I was blown away! Hahaha. I shared it with my 5yo ds. I will be purchasing this and sharing with my children for years to come. I wish that this was what I was taught growing up.
Will have to look into that. I've seen some documentaries on one of the cable channels that have been really good too. I think one was called How the Earth was Made.
I'm pretty sure I've seen that and it is good.

I was wanting to look for books like that for stocking stuffers this year. Thanks for the recommendation!
Oh, excellent!!
I have found, overall, that European published books tend to be more direct and accurate (and use bigger words) in books for children than North American ones... We LOVE Usborne Books!
