Ok, so my close friend is very into all natural cures and things like that, she doesn't vaccinate yadda yadda. Well that's all fine and dandy but she pissed me the hell off the other day. I started watching her 18 month old daughter on Thursdays, when she was bringing her over she told me about this infected bump on her daughter's "hooha" but it was okay because she had this "all natural tar" to put on it. Well I went to change her diaper later on and it was not just a bump. It was a HUGE puss filled area on her poor little girl parts! It was hard as a freaking rock and she flinched up when i barely touched it. I couldn't even carry her normally without it hurting her.

So when my friend came to pick her up I started asking her more about it. She had had the bump for about 3 weeks, 3 WEEKS!, and it just kept getting worse and worse but she wanted to let it clear up on it's own with help from her all natural selection. Fucking idiot. I told her to take her to the doctor ASAP. She took my advice thank God and took her.

She called me later that night and said they were in the E.R. They clinic had sent her there because it was too major for them. This poor little girl ended up having to get anesthesia so they could cut open this thing and drain it out. She is still walking funny and she is on antibiotics. OH! And guess what?? She had a Staff infection. This all could have been avoided. I think it's great that she believes in all natural stuff, but sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Don't be a stupid ass, take your kid to the doctor if they need it!!!!!!!!!! She is a good mom, it's just that she has so little faith in the medical system, it is ridiculous. Drives me nuts!

You think it's great that she believes in all natural malarkey, "sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't". Bull shit!!!!!!!! Why even take that chance. Obvi it didn't work if the little one had it for three weeks. If she had taken her to the Doc's to begin with, all of  that could have been avoided. Mother of the year she's not.
