bill was so comfortable today that he stopped, dropped and rolled in the dirt. lol, it was right after i had rushed him and the farrier was on his way. i am anal, i like them clean when anyone comes so dh brushed him again. after he decided that he doesnt want to kill dh anymore, he decided to follow dh around like a puppy and nuzzle him like he was trying to make friends. at first dh was afraid of bill following him. it was kinda funny/cute cause bill was being real slow like he was sneaking up on him...frank finally realized bill has accepted him so that was a big milestone. he looks like a different horse now compared to jan when he first came. his only problem now is the arthritis in his front left leg, its pretty severe....

  • blowing kissesok first i would like to thank the lord, then my mama....oh sorry , i was having that emmy award daydream again, lol.. i really didnt do anything but feed him, love him and not tolerate his bad habits. and to be real honest after the initial supplement for his leg and the little bit of grain. i cut out his grain all together so he could gain on the new spring and summer grass. i knew it blew our two fat girls up so it was bound to put some weight on him, i am kinda suprised to see those hips rounding out a little all ready  i am mostly suprised by his, all of a sudden acceptance of frank. it just came out of nowhere. ut when we went out today to give him some bute for his leg, he took it like a champ, only spitting a little back at me, ut was loving on frank and frank was talking to him and giving him treats. yep, that old man is home, and he will not be going anywhere. so heres to all the ppl who jumped at the chance to tell me he is aggressive, he'll kill you, shoot him... sometimes you just gotta go on faith and believe in something. i believed in him and loved hima nd he changed. not to mention, his old daddy didnt like him, his old mommy had no time for him and he was starving, if i had been him,i might've tried to kill your butt too... really i just wanted to show him off. i am so proud of him and so happy that he feels like he is at home. he came over to where i was sitting on a tale and i sat there ruing my shoe across his belly, flicking his ears and  messing with him and he just stands there like its nice to get some attn, never tried to kick once. i have been ignoring his old mommy cause i am stil kinda peeved at her for allowing him to be ike he was and not helping his leg sooner. she wants to come see him. i will let her, when i have time. when she came last time, the farrier was here and i asked her to hold him for a min, and bill lost his mind so i had to take him from her and put him in his place, then he was fine. dont wuite know what to think of that reaction.  oh well, i am done showing him off now, lol.. its just amazing what four months of feeding a horse and touching him will do.
