Hello all, it has been awhile! but i wanted to stop by and show you pictures of our new baby. She is a 3 year old paint filly who is very tall (as you will see compared to my 6 year old gelding). She is a little on the skinny side, but wont be for long. She has had maybe 10 rides on her so she is still very green (not broke). She has no idea what a bit is. She doesnt know leg pressure or reining. I took her on her first ride last night and she did wonderful. A little spooky but hey what do you expect? No buck, kick, or fight! I lucked out right? lol The only bad thing is her name is Stitches. I dont think it fits, if anything i think its a curse. She is constantly needing them. (YIKES!!) So if anyone can think of a new name for her that would be great! Here our some photos of her with my other horses, Cherokee (white w/ brown) and Cody (lots of brown w/ white)!

  • She is gorgeous. I always wanted a horse but just really no time and no knowledge of taking care of them but I think they are so beautiful. Have fun with her.

  • She is so pretty, heres a name suggestion, since you have a Cherokee, and  a Cody, Why not Rain, that's the name of the female horse in the Spirit Movie, or even Dakota or Cheyenne, if you don't like Rain.

  • i totally understand, my filly i had named chans got into everything she could and more, she had chance after chance and lucky she didnt die on a few occasions, like when a group of hornets stung her all over the face and neck so badly you couldnt even tell she was  a horse.. then they all abcessed, or when she decided to  have a hissy in the trailer lifting the door off the hinges and slicing the skin, tissue all the way off her forelegs. barely missing a major blood vessel. took forever to heal! names carry a lot of weight. my dh had a beautiful paint grulla filly that died at only a few weeks of failure to thrive, i always loved her name, it was del rio, rio or dale for short. gosh your paints are georgeous... sierra, desert rose(desi),lol i haD a cody too...i cant think of any more right now... but good luck and let us know what u come up with
