Do you reward good report card grades?

I am a very proud mama today. My son did much better than I expected on his report card.

He received 6 A's and 2B's. I feel the impulse to reward him because I am so happy for him. But is that sending the wrong message when I expect him to always apply himself and do good?

Do you guys reward your kiddos for good grades? Is it a material reward or a an experience reward?

I don't, because my son is only 2.

When I was younger, I would get money. I think it was like $10 for every A & $5 for every B.

Yes, we either do a nice dinner or give cash.  My dad always announces it in church and gives cash.
