Hi, i dont know if any of you still post on this group, but I just wanted to give everyone that lives in woodbridge a heads up on this company that promises to place your little ones in modeling jobs.
They are promoting in the Woodbridge Mall, they are called "Industry model and talent studios". they told me i did not have to pay anything, so we went, as soon as they interviewed my daughter (which they praised over and over as a selling point) they started selling us a photographic session. The least expensive costs around $600.00 if I remember well, so they kept going with the praise and the promises... my husband said, lets do it and we went for it... grave mistake!
I even asked the lady if we needed to pay anything else after we paid for the pictures and she said no.
So my daughter (she was 3) went to the session, they did her hair, she loved it.. they put on makeup, that by the way they use on every one of these children, over and over, same brushes and all... then they took pictures. They gave us another appointment to come back to get the pictures and get her started.
A third time we took the trip, they made us wait, and wait, and wait.. they a sales agent brought us to a small office with a computer and let us look over her pictures, of course, we as parents where in heaven, seeing how beautiful our daughter looked.. then the lady sat down and started explaining that in order to put her pictures online (they have this data bank where they market the pics and companies go to look for "talent") we needed to pay another amount of money... we needed to buy composition cards (which they make and sell at exaggerated prices) and pay for the web page membership... who much? $600 to $800 depending on the package. So by now we where very upset and we left.
I am sitting here with a disc of my daughter's pictures that cost us $1000.00 (yes, one thousand dollars) and cant do anything about it. I send for her comp cards online, bought 50 for $50.00 dollars and started searching online for agencies, took their address and mailed the comp cards... this was this past month, nobody has called.
Word of advice to parents in love with their children.. dont fall for it. You think your child would like to be a model or has talent? go to a photo studio, pay for 4 poses (which more then likely will cost you less then $100) send for his/her composition cards and mail them out, market your child, be on top of auditions, etc..
When you see these people in the mall, praising your beautiful children.. RUN! dont give them information, no number or names.

No, you will not do your best to assist me. I have received two calls from your agency after I left a message and when I explained my "problem" they had nothing to say about it. The last person I spoke to told me to call and speak to a supervisor, which I haven't done, because I am tired of asking questions.
My concern was, why if we paid for the photo shoot did one of your representatives asked us for more money in order to market these pictures?
You and your company know how high a parent thinks of their children and take advantage of it. The first interview we had I specifically asked the lady on the phone if there was any money involved and she assured me there was not. Meanwhile the first thing she did was sell us a photography session... again I asked after these pictures are taken, is there anything else to be paid and again I was misinformed.
I dont want anything from your "agency", I dont want another call, I dont want any more promises, I dont want anything at all. What I would like is for your "company" to stop making false promises to parents and children.
