Just thought I would say Im new to this group and not new to lupus.. I have a lot of experience with different meds and so on.  I have only had lupus a year but it has been the most life altering year of my entire life... Why dont we all share a lil about ourselves and get to know one another.. !  My arms are kiling me tonight so thats all I will say tonight but would love to hear all of your stories and if you have questions.. I'd be glad to give anyone any medical knowledge Ive been given.. or if you have questions about the meds we use.. i can probabaly help!  Feel free to drop me a line anytime!  Hope you all are flare free!

Well i have had 2 flares with in the last two months....Now i have fluid around my Lungs,Liver and pancreas. I go to get results of a biopsy they did a few weeks ago by scope...In my belly! I'm scared...

Hi, my name is Kathy.  I was diagnosed with SLE/RA in May 2000.  That will be 7 years next week.  I also have Sjogren's Disease.  I have been on so many different medicine over the years.

HI , Not sure if this is the right group. My 14 yr old daughter has Lupus. She was diagnoised in 2005 . She has been hospitilized twice for complications from Vasculitis caused by Lupus . She is on predisone 15mg right now her Dr is trying to take her down to 10 and Imuran and Plaquinil. I do have one question if anyone knows the answer. Her hair seems to be really thinning and falling out. Does anyone else have this problem ? Her Dr referred us to a dermatologist that she's sees in June but he seemed to not worry much about it but it's hard to tell that to a 14 yr old girl .

I know it's touch but hair thinning is a common side effect of lupus. All i can say is be supportive of her...Maybe try a new hair doo...Pamper her!! I know this dont help much...But god bless you & her!!

Wow, only a year and you've been on so many meds?  What were your symptoms when diagnosed and what are your symptoms now; besides the pain in your arms sometimes...
Anyone else in your family?  I was the first in mine!
