Mirena??

Although I don't have it- I have thought about getting it too.  Right now I am on the Ortho Evra patch and I really like it.  The only concern I have for the Mirena is spending a lot of money on it (I don't know how much my insurance covers on something like that) and then taking it out only after a year or something because we decide to have  another.  I just don't want to waste money on it.  I think it might be pretty expensive since its a 5 year thing.  But if you know you'll keep it the whole 5 years, I'd try it.  I've heard good things about it- hardly any side effects except for some cramping the first week or something that you have it in.

I had it. But it didn't work out for me. My body didn't tolerate it. I spotted for the whole 4 months i had it in. so eventually i had to get it out. besides that when i first went on it i was really moody. really easily frustrated and stuff. there were some days i had a really hard time dealing with my DD. But i evened out after a few weeks. My Dr told me what happend to me with the not stopping spotting is rare but is becoming more common for some reason.

I would say check and see if your insurance covers it. most do. i only paid my $25 office co-pay for mine. If yours covers it i would say try it. I still think its a good option. It just doesn't work for some but others its fabulous. 

As far as the Pill goes that was a trial and error thing for me. the first couple i was on i didn't do well at all. but i found a OBGYN that ask me what my symptoms were and gave me a pill with less of one hormone and it worked great for me!

But now i have run out of BC options because of health problems. i am down to condoms or Tubal ligation. I am going for the tubal!
