by akhartis on Sep. 3, 2008 at 8:54 PMI was never sick with either of my sons, but with my daughter I was sick for the first 4-5 months. I drank a lot of ginger ale and sucked on a lot of those preggie pops - I like the really sour flavors. That helped a little, but for the most part I would just be nauseated...throw up...feel better for a while and then start all over. I have never been so miserable in my life. I just hope I do not get that sick this time since I have 2 kids to take care of and lots more activities that I am involved in. I am 5 weeks along and I have already noticed that if I do not eat at regular intervals through the day I start to feel queasy. Hang in there, it goes away eventually! Believe it or not, I actually got use to it after a while and could actually function sick. |

by Rainray2 on Sep. 4, 2008 at 11:11 AMThere were certain foods that the smells and the tastes I could not stand so naturally I stayed away from them! Also, eating every few hours so you had something in your stomach really helped. I did have to resort to drugs and took zofran when it got really bad. Hope you feel better soon! |

by lilchik on Sep. 5, 2008 at 8:04 AMwell nothing really helped me, in the begining. i tried saltines, and eating before i left the bed, but i would take one small bite of a cracker and had to run to the bathroom. luckily for me it was only in the morning, and by the afternoon i was feeling pretty good, and could eat, and drnk. try different things, i tried dry cereal ( the sugary kind as others just made my mouth more dry), i tried peppermint candies, ginger ale, chewing gum, fruit, nothing really worked for me, i even looked on the internet for remedies. other things are preggie pops, ginger tee, ginger root. anything ginger is supposed to help, some people said B6- ? but i would talk to your doctor, before taking any vitamins, or medicines. Good luck. For most it does get better. i'm now 22 wks and i dont really have any sickness, just ocasional nauseousness, or the gaging feeling. but i feel fine for the most part. Hang in there! |
