What kind of bottles do you use/prefer for your baby and why?

My daughter uses the playtex ventaire the regular slim ones. They are great I love them! When she was first born I had a very hard time getting her to suck right on the nipples I tryed every bottle under the sun and finaly I got her latched onto the playtex drop ins and switched because she was gettin alot of gas and heard that the angled bottles were better and the vent helped alot with gas issues. so that is what she is still using at 10months old.

My daughter isn't picky about bottles. We've used Evenflo Purely Comfi for three of our four kids now- I really like them. Although, this time around, I'm noticing that the bottles break very easily. We've broken four just in the last three months. With our oldest, we used the VentAire bottles. They're great- except for cleaning. Hated all those little pieces, and the little bubble looking thing at the bottom would sometimes come undone.

My first baby is not born yet so I don't have experience yet but I will hopefully be using the Born Free bottles. I have a set of glass and a couple of plastic ones too. The reviews were excellent, that's why i chose them. the nippiles are really soft. Some people had trouble witht the nipples collapsing but it turns out they were screwing the tops on too tight. They do have a rubber piece between the nipple and the bottle to "eliminate colic symptoms by reducing vacuum build up." So, that's just one extra part to clean. I don't see that being too much of a chore.

Anyway, hope this info was helpful.

My first didn't care either witch way you fed her, she would take anything. She did prefer the latex nipples to the rubber ones, but would take either. My boys liked the drop-ins with the wide mouth latex nipple. These are designed so that you push the bag up and push the air out before you feed them and as they eat, the bag goes with it, reducing air bubbles. They also have wide nipples for these that help with air bubbles too.

I tried this kind with my son but he had problems getting anything out b/c the end of the nipple seemed to hard for him to suck.  We used Dr Brown's with my sd and now use them with my son and he has no problems.

I breastfeed my DD but when I have to pump I use Avent and Adiri. I like the Adiri because it looks like a breast and has a similar flow. With the Avent we use the 1 flow nipple so that she is still having to work for the milk like she would at the breast.

We tried every bottle under the sun practically as my son had really horrible gas problems, and LOVE the Playtex Ventair too!!! He only likes the wider nipples so our choices were limited.

Some people (one of my friends and others I've heard) have problems with the bottoms leaking but the instructions clearly say that you have to dry the bottoms completely before putting together and if you do that then they don't leak. I told my friend and she was really glad to know that and started using hers again.

Avent--leaked and the nipple flow was either too slow or too fast causing bad gas.

Born Air--just not a huge fan and they seemed expensive...

Dr. Brown's --a pain in the butt to clean and it didn't even prevent gas that much.

Nuk--my son didn't like the nipple shape although I might try again in a couple months.

I have tried Dr Browns, Playtex Drop Ins, Avent, and Nuk.  And the ONLY one my daughter will take is the brand that babies r us sells.

Well for my DD we started out using Playtex drop in bottles. but getting the liners were a pain in the butt. So I found the Ventair bottles that I had for my son. Well come to find out my DD HATES any nipple but the laytex ones. And of course they don't sell them for any other bottle style other than the dropins. So we make due and put the latex ones on the ventair even though you have to unscrew it every now and then to let the nipple pop back out.

Those nipples are the only ones that are more like mom for her.LOL!!
