I put my 8 month old baby on the bed while I was folding laundry and in a matter of a second she fell head first off the bed. I took her to the doctor but the doctor was with us for 30 seconds!!! I am still very worried that she may have internal damage. Anyone have this happen?
my kids especially the oldest has fall so many times its not even funny my oldest at 8 months fell out of the rockin chair face first tryin to get a toy that dropped..he was fine..he came up with a busted lip..at a year he climbed in his dresser drawer and the whole thing came down on him & my friends daughter..15 months he fell face first running up the drive way. who does that i dont know but he did he came up fine with jus a scrap on his face. then at 2 he pulled his night stand drawer out and tried to climb in it well that time the tv fell on him & the nightstand. he had this huge knot on his forehead..swollen ankle & hand. they did x rays and all he left with was a sprang hand. my youngest he is 17 months he jus had his first major fall off the couch..hit his head hard. the dr said he was okay nothing harmed..so far so good. no need to worry this will be first of many falls your baby has and the older they get the more extreme it will be. u can always call and make her a dr appt to be looked at longer but if they gave the okay then more than likely shes fine

That just happened to me two days ago. My 5 month old son fell off the bed. He is fine my mom told me that it happens all the time most people just don't tell anyone. As long as your baby is still active and being itself than you shouldn't have anything to worry about.
My son rolled off the bed at around 5 months old. He cried a little bit then was fine. If your baby is acting normally, then I wouldn't be too concerned. You will know if something isn't right.

My son fell off the bed at 7 months and I think I cried more than he did. I don't think I know any baby who HASN"T fallen aff the bed.
Our eldest, who is now 2.5 years old fell backwards off the bed at 8 months - she landed with an impressive thud. She cried for a while, but was fine.
I think it happens more frequently than people care to admit. Check that the baby is mnot drowsy and is responsive and his / her eyes are tracking and I am sure everything is fine.
This happened to our daughter when she was about 9 mos. old. My husband was with her at the time, turned his back for a second and it happened in an instant. He completely freaked out and called me to come home. She had hit her face on the floor and he said she wouldn't stop crying. I rushed home and we drove her to the Emergency Room. Well by the time we got her there she had calmed down and was completely fine. I wouldn't worry too much if the dr. gave her the ok. Just continue to watch her for any unusual behavior, if she's not acting like herself or becomes unresponsive or overly lethargic.
My son fell off the bed at about 6 months old. He was fine, cried and then was acting normal. When he had his next appointment I let her know & she said it happens all the time and that he's fine.
I would just make sure they are acting normal and try to keep them awake for at least a hour after hitting their head.
