in the eye...

I just back from the eye doc and he said that my son (special needs) and he told me that he has an ulcer on his eye. I have never even heard of that before... I had him to his pediatrictions AND the ER which both said was it was pink eye. Has anyone else ever seen this? Will it cause some vision lost?
