I do a paper rout. Now I know that you are working for some one, and it is most every day. the rout I have is every day. But if you have someone who will take two of those days you have yourself a weekend. SO Here are the pros and cons:
Pros!
1)you get to be out of the house for a while by yourself
2)it is before the kids wake up in the morning (I start at 3:45 and am done by 6 so my husband can go to work)
3)I get to get some exercise
4)I am an independent contractor, technically I am my own boss.
5)get payed for doing the job so the faster you get it done the more you get per hr.
6)most papers have walking and a driving routs
Cons
1)It is every day unless you have some one to do it for you a few times a week
2)it is in the early morning, though I have a friend who had an after noon rout
3)you have to find a "sub" to take your rout if you want to go any place for a few days and they do cast money
4)if you do not get it done in time than you end up getting complaints.
I really do love the pros though so the cons don't bother me. I would not be the person to contact about this, you should contact your local news paper... Even the Wall Street Journal hires out to paper caries.
