My children have visited my job, seen my desk, played with my stress relieve squishies... but they don't really know what I do. They know I work at a computer and it has something to do with helping people buy houses (mortgage division of a bank), but that's really it.
How about your kids?
Mines not old enough to explain what I do to him. However, at 3 months he was already trading stocks (and even made money on his first trade) with daddy. He only knows red bar / green bar.
My kids know what I do. They have all been to the classroom and have met the students and my co workers. My dd volunteered in our classroom for her senior project. She loved it.
DD is only 21 months, so she doesn't think anything of it.
They know that I analyze things and solve problems, but that's about it. They know that I like my job, but beyond that, I'm not sure if they are super deeply interested in the nitty gritty details about my job. At this point in time, they are happy that I am earning money so that I can fund their monthly allowances! :)
