I have a BA in interdisciplinary studies and a MS in special education. All together 6 years of school (including a semester of student teaching). Then I had to take 4 state tests to gain my certification.

I'd say it's a tie between avoiding power struggles and lack of consistency and support from administration.

I like 3rd and 4th grade best. It's a good curriculum and the kids are fun. They still like the creative fun stuff that the older kids are too cool for but independent enough to do stuff on their own.

Do you work for the school district or do you work for a company, like an Intermediate Unit, that provides special ed services within school districts?
