Morale, Positive Feedback, and Job Productivity
I work hard, I go above and beyond to do my job and then some. This will never change because I take pride in a job well done. This is just me, and this is a quality you will find in many hard working employees. Sadly, I feel my hard work goes unnoticed. Yes, while I understand I should not really expect an "attaboy" for doing what's required of me, is it too hard to utter so much as a "thank you" or "good job" for going above and beyond? For doing more than what's expected? For doing my job and the jobs of 3-5 other people simultaneously?
I assure you that this simple act would increase employee morale and as well as increase both productivity and job performance of many, so why is it so hard?
Anyone else feel this way?
