So, some of us may not get this issue and some might, but how do you feel about people asking a job related question in your off hours? My dad is the ideal example for this. He's a meteorologist for the USAF. As soon as he mentions that in ANY company, the first question is almost always about the forecast for the next week. Lawyers and doctors get this all the time as well. I get it as far as design work. Someone is building something in their spare time, find out we are engineers, and start asking us technical questions about their design.
Do you ever get annoyed with the same questions? Do you answer the questions, or try to pawn them off (I don't know or something)? For any in the high professions, do you give them your card and tell them to call during business hours?
Being a teacher, I do get questions during after hours, however they don't bother me because education never stops. Just this past week I have a parent email me about his daughter, because they are going to start homeschooling and he wanted to know where she was in reading readiness and a couple other areas.
I have to admit sometimes I do get annoyed if I am out with my family having dinner, but other than that I don't.
Not really as far as my current job goes. There aren't many questions about security since most of it is common sense...not that there's much common sense going around anymore lol.
