Contractors

I have work I need done around my house.  I have been putting it off because I keep waiting for the contractor I have worked with before to get estimates to me.  He keeps promising, but I think after 6 months, I need to look for  a new contractor.  Grrrrrrrrr.  I don't like having to go through the process of finding someone good again.

I would probably give him one more chance and give him that ultimatum.  "If I don't have estimates from you on X, Y, Z work by Aug. 31st, I'm taking my business elsewhere".

The threat of lost business will probably light a fire under his butt.

It amazes me how many contractors blow off customers in this economy, after 6 months I would consider looking elsewhere but that is scary too because you don't know what kind of work you will get.

That stinks, it can be hard to find a good contractor. I agree with the pp give him a deadline and if he doesn't meet it then I'd start looking elsewhere.
