I was thinking of starting it, but I am not sure. With my lack of motivation for anything, it just might be something else that ends up undone.

We don't do it like the popular way now. We've always had elves. They come and hang out at thanksgiving and leave at christmas. They don't move around or hide but they leave notes and small treats a few times a season.

We've done it for the last three years. The kids look forward to it. I think this year we'll step it up a bit and have him do some stuff around the house, but not things that the kids aren't allowed to do.

i was going to do it this year, but have decided that it is not really a tradition that we need to add to our holidays so the elf is going back to the store.
