What would you do in this situation??

I work nights and generally get barely 5 hours sleep split into 2 naps per day.  Overtime is currently available at 10 hours per week.  Would you be willing to drop the amount of sleep you get to 3 to 4 hours in order to make an extra $1000 per month in order to pay down your bills?

Sure, as long as you can still function on 3-4 hours of sleep

No way.  I need my sleep. And it's really not healthy for you to have that little sleep.

Personally, no I used to work nights, and remember that horrible exhausted feeling. I would fall asleep driving home.

3-4 hours of interrupted sleep is not even close to enough for me (not enough for anyone really.) It puts you at increases risk of illness, depression, and many other health risks. Unless basic necessities such as food and shelter were in jeopardy, my health & life & relationships with my family are worth far more than extra money.

Yes.  My body adjusted to getting very little sleep from when I was pregnant to the time DD turned 2.  IF the OT is temporary, I would do it.  Not having the bills over your head will take a lot of stress off you.

Absolutely not. I'm completely worthless on less than 6-7 hours of sleep.

I would never be able to do it. I can't function with that little sleep but if I could I definitely would. SO I'd actually doing that now. He works for UPS and they have tons of overtime available now that he's taking advantage of.
