Are all your monies pooled together or do you both still maintain separate personal accounts?

Do you withdraw some "rainy day" money from your check for personal use?

We have joint and personal accounts. We both have direct deposit, so the bulk of mine goes to the joint account with a little to my personal account. My husband has quite a bit more deposited in his personal account because both of our car payments are drafted out of his account.

When we were married we had separate checking and savings accounts. We dealt with money differently and it was better for us this way.

We have personal accounts only, no joint accounts.

So yes, after I pay the bills, I can do what I what with the money in my account and vice versa.

We both have our own accounts becasue DH is horrible with $$.  He gives me a set amount each week to pay bills and keeps whatever is left.

We have two joint accounts. I use one and he uses one. If one of us needs more money, we transfer it back and forth. We share money, but its easier to plan for bills and such with two incomes and two accounts.

One joint account. The only time it's irritating is when he buys me something and forgets to tell me so I see the charge on the card. He does nothing with the finances, so it's easier to have a joint account so I can have access to all of it.

All of our accounts are joint. No reason to have separate-works well for us.
