So I recently reached the 1 year mark of managing my own investment account through Fidelity. I haven't done too badly. As of the date of my anniversary (2/28 or 3/1), I had a gain of 16.66%. As of this morning, I have a gain of over 20%. I think as long as I manage it the same way, I can keep up good returns.
Who else plays with the stock market?
P.S., I only invest money I can afford to lose completely, so I am not gambling with my family's future.

Good job! I don't understand that stuff enough to do it on my own. I just contribute to my work's retirement plan (also Fidelity) and DH uses one that is managed by our financial advisor.

I think dh would be good at it, if he looked into it. We've never considered it before.

You know we do....well..DH. I had to stop trading with him when I started my new job. DH made about 12% today on a call option day trade and made a good return in his normal stocks trading but I don't know what that percentage is.
