Lightning bugs :)

Just had a blast running around the yard with my kiddos catching lightning bugs.  Don't worry, we don't put them in the jars - catch and release :)

How 'bout you?  Been chasing the lightning bugs yet?

We don't have lightning bugs here :-(

But when I was a little girl, that was one of our favorite things about visiting family in Illinois

I never see them here. I used to catch them all of the time when I was a kid.

We have just seen ours in the past few weeks. Seems they are more plentiful since the drought last year. We haven't caught too many yet but my guys are still a little small and go to bed too early to fully enjoy them.
