Do you work in a male dominated field or a traditionally male role?

I do and it's not that bad. I've gotten a few comments from old timers about how women are breaking into the funeral business. LOL. I think the hardest thing is finding clothes for my job. LOL

I have an engineering degree and when I did that job I was typically the only woman. Now I am working in a lab and it is much more even.

Pretty much.  I work in finance and when I was going to school I would be one of two girls in a class.  Even today, I'm one of the few women.

I looked up some stats, and I guess my field has fewer women than I realized. It looks like only 25-30% of IT professionals are women. I'm the only woman in IT at my company, but, to be fair, there are only 4 people total in our IT department. My last place of employment seemed to be about 50% women in IT.

I think nowadays it's pretty even.  20 years ago, yeah it was mostly male.
