The vegetarian Korean food from the Buddhist temple I go to sometimes. Amazing.

I don't think I've ever heard of a food that isn't typical in some area of Greater Los Angeles Area. :)) I've been to all sorts of genuine ethnic places in the 12 years I've been here.

That does sound like a great place to live. I am in the Midwest, so a lot of things are considered atypical. :)

I'm in KS, so if it isn't beef, it's not from here :)

I love hummus and pita, pretty much every kind of Italian food, and once in a while I like egg drop soup with orange chicken

DH and I got our Indian fix last night. So good. He's even made paneer (soft, mild Indian cheese) at home from scratch. There is nothing better!

Sometimes we head to S.F. for shawerma and baklava... yum! Middle Eastern food.
