Stupid a$$ town :(

We live in a very small town. It has it's advantages, but we're experiencing the negatives. Like the fact that my 9 year old's cub scout troop is so tiny - there are 5 regular members & 3 are quite possibly the true devil spawn which made it so unbearable he finally quit last year.

Now he found out after a grueling 2 hour football practice tonight that 1/2 the 3rd/4th grade team quit so there IS no more team. The season hasn't even started yet - never even played a real game, just had a few practices. He came home in tears. :(

I really wish I could leave this one-horse town for a moderately sized three-horse town (LOL)...but unless we win the multi-million dollar lottery, we're stuck here.

I don't know what Pop Warner is exactly. It's a youth league sponsored by each community in the league.

Oh man! Poor kiddo! That's got to be disappointing. Our town is quite small too...32 kids in ds's grade...so I totally get the one horse town bummer! If it weren't for dh's kids, we would have moved years ago. In 4 years the youngest will graduate so hopefully we can leave. I am so ready!

aw, that is just sad! can you join a troop in the town over maybe? i have always lived in sprawling suburbs, so we have quite the opposite issue (far too many people/options).

The town I grew up in was so small.  There were very few sports options outside of jr/sr high school.
