we have a membership to the town activity center, so we take them up there to the water park a few times a week. See movies, go to the cool parks in the area, visit museums and the zoo...and a lot of sitting at home while mama and dad get those summer projects accomplished. ; )

Go to daycare. She just turned 3 so other options as far as activities were slim.

They spend the day at YMCA day camp, and they take swim lessons in the evenings.

daycare. she's 4, in a year she'll go to kindy, but then in summers, she'll be back at daycare full time until she's too old for daycare. but the school age program at her daycare and at the schools is VERY active, they do something almost every day, a field trip of some sort.

Various day camps (tennis, art, the Y), swimming, trips to museums, botanical gardens, zoo, hiking, playdates with friends. Our younger son goes to preschool part time, in addition.
