Scandalous!

Our city (I live in a suburb, so I cannot even vote about city matters) is becoming a joke!  First it was Enron-by-the-Sea.  Now, we are suing our own mayor over alleged inappropriate behavior.  And the mayor is refusing to step down, though he is acknowledging wrong-doing.

Ok, world, laugh away at our wonderful city!

It's sad that people in public office don't conduct themselves in an appropriate manner. And what's worse then that in this case is he's refusing to do the honorable thing.

Even better, your mayor wants the city to pay for sending him to treatment. Like you can treat being a chauvanist pig!

And pay for his legal bills.  Since the city attorney refuses to defend him (they have had a fued going since the mayor took over), he wants the city to pay his attorney fees.

If your city is what I think it is, it is my beloved childhood home. :-) The weather can't be beat, though.

Yep, San Diego.  Weather is great, but the city is something else sometimes.

 He's kind of a creeper....

A ninth woman came has accused San Diego Mayor Bob Filner of sexual harassment, according to a report out Thursday.

Emily Gilbert told Fox 5 San Diego that the 70-year-old Democrat harassed her at a fundraiser where she was hired to sing in December.

"He grabbed me a little too tight, then proceeded to slide his hand down my arm and then did a little grab on my derriere," Gilbert said. "I didn't want to make a scene there were kids around."

(QUIZ: Do you know Bob Filner?)

She told Fox 5 she tried to laugh it off, but was embarrassed by the crude behavior.

Gilbert's husband said he felt helpless at the time.

"What was I going to do, he's the mayor," said Jason Gilbert.

He called on the mayor to resign and donate to a causes that help women.

(Also on POLITICO: Filner's lawyer: City may be at fault)

"We don't want any money, but we think the mayor should make a donation to a woman's cause," Jason Gilbert said. "Actions speak louder then words. He needs to resign."

Filner announced last week he would not resign and instead would be taking two weeks off to undergo intensive therapy starting Monday. San Diego is suing its mayor for the costs incurred as a result of the sexual harassment lawsuit filed against him, but Filner's lawyer said on Wednesday the city could well be liable for "failing to prevent harassment" because they did not provide Filner with sexual harassment training.

Wait, so he thinks going to therapy will make him less of a creep?! And that it's the city's fault he has harassed women because he didn't receive the sexual harassment training?! That should be common sense, no?? Wow. I'm sorry to hear your major is a dick. :-/
