My oldest starts 4th grade on Monday and his birthday is the following week. At what age do you stop sending birthday treats to school? Is 10 yo/4th grade too old?

I would ask him if he wants to bring treats to school.

They have never been allowed at our school. I would also ask him if he wants them.

We aren't allowed to at my son's school.  On his birthday we just visit him at lunch and bring him a treat.

I would stop when there are too many kids (ie he changes classes, so for us, middle school).

I would ask him. I always sent with my stepkids all the way through grade school and stopped when they went to middle school.

I teach 5th grade.  My students still bring in treats.

My son is going into 4th with a May bday.  I will be sending in treats then.

I sent them last year when my middle DS was in 3rd.  I wlil probably send them this year (4th) as well unless he asks me not to.

I stopped when they got in to middle school.

Personally I would ask him. My son's school doesn't allow it and my son has a summer birthday so it doesn't come up for him. I won't have to worry about it for another 4 years when my toddler starts kinder.
