This. I do accounting for a living and this is the best thing I've seen for home use.

There is quicken.  But i think you have to buy the program/cd's.  I use mint.com and it's free and connects directly to your bank accounts.

Can you tell me more about it? Do you sync up your bank account with it? Does it send you alerts when your budget is reaching a certain dollar amount? Say like you want to be notified when you have $20 left in your budget or something like that?
