Will you shop on Thanksgiving?

Posted by   + Show Post

I just saw a news preview for our local news that many larger stores are announcing that they will be open on Thanksgiving.

Will you be out shopping or spending the time with your family?

Anyone work retail and be expected to work?

I doubt it this year. Last year I went out late thanksgiving night. I don't think they should be open during the day. People need time with families.

I don't plan on leaving my house on Thanksgiving or Black Friday. I don't like crowds and I prefer to spend the day stuffed from eating a lot, relaxing and happy about the days off from work.

I do not shop from the day before Thanksgiving until the second of January, for anything other than food.  I choose not to put up with the hassle.    All of my shopping will be done before Thanksgiving or it will be done online and delivered to the person it is for. My Christmas cards go in the mail on Black Friday.  I started doing this when I was a single mom as a way to spread out the cost.
