The skids are supposed to be with their mother but she doesn't want them. My DS is spending the night with a friend. I'm trying to get DH to take me to dinner since we won't have to pay a babysitter, but I don't think he wants to :(

Yup!  Every year the 5 of us settle in for some YUMMY chocolate fondue, sparkling grape juice in 'fancy glasses, and watch movies.  Close to 11:00pm (midnight EST) we watch the ball drop and I attempt to get the kiddos to bed.  We don't usually stay up for our 'own' midnight.

I'll probably be asleep long before midnight since I have to work in the morning. I've had 2 people (my bro and a friend) ask me if I had plans. No I'm not going anywhere and no I'm not watching your kids until you finally drag yourself home at 3am.

My 14 year old son will be home and my grandkids are coming over. They're 5 & 6. We're going to ride some rides at Six Flags and toast the New Year at 10:00 lol.
Then the little ones are off to bed.
