Leather repair anyone?

Yup.  My fancy new leather coat my parents got me for Christmas has a medium size tear!  I have no idea how, when, where this happened.

I've been calling around, and there's only 1 place that *might* be able to send it out for repair - they can't give me a $$ estimate until I bring it in, but it will take at LEAST 3 weeks.

Ugh.

I saw something online called LeatherNu which is a do it yourself leather repair kit, but no clue if it's any good.

So - any suggestions out there?  Any companies or products you know are good at leather repair?

dont try to repair it yourself. look up leather repair on your local community newsgroups or call cobbler shops to see if they can do it. dry cleaners just send it out so you are paying the middleman with them.
