So yesterday I finished with my 1105 patient at 1238. I WAS SO BEHIND. I had to pump, so I took 10 minutes hunched over my keyboard charting, eating, pumping......1254 I go to see my next patient and realize "OMG after 21 months, I have started my period" and boy did I ever. It has soaked through my slip, my tan maxi skirt. I could have cried!!!! I was sharing my office with a male co-worker. There are NO scrubs in the office. All the MA's and nurses are scurrying around, so understaffed. So I do the only thing I could think of.....strip naked......no just kidding, I wash my skirt best I could, rolled up to maxi to knee length, twisted it to the side and his it under my lab coat......yea so comfy for the rest of the day *note the sarcasm* to see the remainder of my sick, grumpy patients.
I felt like I was in junior high, waiting for mom to bring me a change of clothes!! No actually that would have been a better situation! For the record, periods suck!! No really, I hate them :/
