On a weekday...so wild we are

Kids have an unovernight at camp. Basically they stay until night. The little one has a 9:30pm pick up and oldest a 11pm, then tomorrow is a half a day for the last day of camp. They have a talent show tomorrow so DH and I both took it off which means we can have a date night on a thursday. We cant go far because the little one barely makes it his pick up time so usually we get a call around 9 to get him. We havent had a night out alone in awhile so really looking foward to it. Even better we may squeek out two nights out this week since we arent using any baby sitting for tonight. We used to try to do once a month either a date night or couples adventure but lately kids actitivies have taken over so we are taking back our adulthood ...at least this weekend

have fun!  Try something unconventional rather than dinner and a movie.

We wanted to go to the movies because there was actually one we both want to see but it stated at 7 and we really expected to get a call at 8:30 to get the little one. We did dinner, mixed it up by eating outside (then remembered there really isn't a view where we were except cranes and a parking lot.) Finished dinner no call. There was a new store at the plaza we wanted to check out. Took our time no call. Went home watch the football game still no call then were almost late for pick up because it was 9:45 and we were just sitting there waiting for the call and forgot what time Scheduled pick up was. Then we hung out in the parking lot playing Pokemon for an hour for the oldest to be released.
