on long trips, we do all those games, they love the alphabet game the most!

My son is young so we sing and talk to him... so I opted for telling jokes since the others were not on there and that is the closest to what we do.

We listen to books on cd;-)

 When they were older we played: what would you do if you won the lottery.  It would get us thru at least 200 miles.

She is only eleven months. When we went on a trip last month, we just read to her, sang to her, and played with her. It was pretty occupying for most of the time. Although she still had her moments

for us its a mixture between dvds and i spy. my daughter loves to say "tree" over and over like in the Disney movie, Brother Bear. :o)

On longer trips we use the DVD. They also love I spy.

Singing songs wasn't one of the choices.... =(  But storytelling, making up funny stories is what we do for the most part.  But if they start getting antsy or if it's a long trip and it's near naptime and we borrowed a DVD player, we'll pop in a movie.  But most of the time, we won't have one with us.
