I have tried everything and he will not stop slamming the toliet seat. I have asked nicely, I have attempted to punish and thke things away but nothing works??

Sorry I don't have much advice. My DS did that a few times when we first introduced him to sitting on the toilet. He already knew what "gentle" meant (from learning to pet the cat & not pulling mommy's hair, lol)....so I just kept telling him to close the seat and "be gentle" and after a few times he stopped slamming it. Good luck!
