Yes, people are willing to buy them. One problem though is that they are becoming very popular and many people are now making them so if you want to start selling them, see what is out there and find a way to make it your own so yours are unique enough to generate interest. There are tons of places to sell them.
Many people sell or advertise online through Etsy, Ebay, Artfire, Craigslist, or their own website. For local sales, many people will set up an arrangement with a local baby boutique or go to craft shows. Most of my sales have been to friends through word of mouth. I maintain a Facebook page to generate more interest as well.
Pricing is very important too. There is a wide range when it comes to pricing from very expensive to pretty cheap. Mid-range prices are a bit more desirable because very low prices are usually only achievable by using generic products (which most buyers don't want) and high prices turn people away unless you add a lot of components to the cake making it worth it.
